It has been grown since the 16th century in Mediterranean countries such as Italy and Greece. It has long been used in the perfume and food industries (such as Earl Gray tea). Although it has only recently been used as an essential oil, it has been used medicinally as a fruit for over a hundred years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h4><strong>Properties<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h5>Aromatic properties<\/h5>\n<p>Bergamot essential oil is extracted from the ripe and raw fruits of the bergamot orange tree.
