Palmarosa (<\/b>Cymbopogon martinii<\/em>) is a relative of lemongrass. It originated in India and Indo-China, but is cultivated elsewhere because of its aromatic oil. It is best known as palmarosa<\/em>, but is also known by names as Indian geranium, ginger grass, rosha and rosha grass. Its aroma is sweet and rose-scented, somewhat reminiscent of even the smell of geranium, and has therefore sometimes been used as a substitute for geranium oil. It is named after the palm rose because of its aroma.<\/p>\n
