Geranium<\/h1>\n

Origin and background<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Geranium essential oil is steam distilled from the parts of the plant Pelargonium graveolens <\/i>, using its leaves, stalks, and flowers.<\/p>\n

Geranium plants originate in South Africa, the island of R\u00e9union (part of France), Madagascar, Egypt, and Morocco, and were not introduced to Europe until the 17th century.<\/p>\n

Although there are about 700 different varieties of this plant, only ten of them can produce large enough amounts of essential oil. Varieties planted in gardens generally produce too little oil during extraction. The Egyptians used this oil to highlight the beauty and radiance of the skin. Geranium can also be found in many perfumes and skin care products.<\/p>\n

The fragrant geranium was once planted around homes as a hedge because it was believed to keep evil spirits away from the home - just as it scares away mosquitoes!<\/p>\n

Geranium essential has a strong scent, invigorating the senses with its floral aroma, which also contains hints of mint and apple. This oil helps balance your body and mind perfectly and has a mood-boosting effect. Its aroma also effectively relieves ailments caused by health problems.<\/p>\n

The strong aroma of this essential oil scares away annoying mosquitoes.<\/p>\n

Geranium essential oil helps balance oily and dry skin. It also relieves stress and anxiety. It has a calming and balancing effect on the adrenal cortex, which produces stress hormones in our body and thus helps balance our body's hormonal system.<\/p>\n

Geranium oil has been used to alleviate and treat various health problems. For example, it has been used to treat acne, bruising, small cuts, dermatitis, and eczema, as well as hemorrhoids, ulcers, edema, poor circulation, a sore throat, and tonsillitis.<\/p>\n

It is also helpful in relieving the symptoms of PMS and menopause, as well as endometriosis and infertility.<\/p>\n
