What does it mean - vitarka mudra?

Mudra derives from the Sanskrit language and literally means a sign or seal. If you practice yoga, you may be familiar to it. Or have you noticed that different Buddha statues always have slightly different hand positions?

In yoga and Hindu and Buddhist philosophy the word mudra is used when taking certain positions with your fingers, hands, head, or even your whole body. There has been a belief that certain positions create and carry energies and release chakras. Mudras can evoke the necessary states of mind and influence oneself on an emotional level, on a physical level through healing, and on a spiritual level through increasing energy supplies.

Vitarka means in Sanskrit discussion and consideration, and mudra, as I already mentioned, a sign or stamp. Vitarka mudrais used in Buddhism. To do this, form a circle with your fingers, putting your index finger and thumb together. This mudrais most associated with the Buddha, as it implies the wisdom of the Buddha.
